Bend without Breaking When I'm stressed, my health gets worse. I need to stop this cycle. I never imagined life with a chronic illness. Where do I go from here? I feel like IBS has taken over my life. I felt so helpless in the hospital. I can't stop remembering it. My relationships are different since my diagnosis-- it feels like it has affected everything. Since my heart attack, I can't sleep. With every ache or pain I think — is this another one? I want to be more in control of my diabetes, but it feels like nothing I do is enough. My stroke has changed everything. I don't know how to move forward. Every time I go to the doctor it's bad news. I want to be the best caregiver possible, but I feel burnt out. I'm terrified of hospitals. My last experience was so traumatic. My blood pressure is high, and I know stress makes it worse. I need to make a change. I leave medical appointments overwhelmed and confused. It makes me think, "What's the point?" I don't want to rely only on medication to manage my pain.
